Quality and environmental policy The policy of Roto Smeets Group and its subsidiaries is to perform all services to such a high quality as to satisfy their customers' expectations. Moreover, Roto Smeets Group views both environmental policy and a concern for safety, health and welfare as integral components of company policy. The company has a commitment to society, having a responsibility to its employees, customers and the general public as a whole. All our activities are performed in a professional manner using the most modern technology. The company pursues an effective, stringent quality assurance policy in all aspects of its activities. Activities are conducted according to carefully written quality maintenance procedures, set down for each company and each activity. The actual, effective implementation of the environmental policy involves the use of an internal environmental system. All production plants of Roto Smeets Group are certified according to the ISO 14001 standard. At this moment almost all web offset Roto Smeets Group production companies have ISO 12647 certificates in which all kinds of issues concerning the control of the printing process are regulated. The possession of the certificates by all of our production companies gives Roto Smeets Group a dominant position in the industry. A policy of continuing care is of course pursued by the certified companies. In order to fulfil the requirements of some Swedish clients, two of our companies are in possession of the Nordic Ecolabel (Swan) certificate. Meanwhile, all printing plants of Roto Smeets Group are FSC and PEFC certified. So both gravure companies, web offset printing and sheet fed printing. That means they can produce, in accordance with certain guidelines, products on FSC or PEFC paper. It also shows that Roto Smeets Group supports the objective of these bodies to achieve environmentally, socially desirable and economically viable management of forests.
