New three-year agreement for Veronica Magazine

Veronica Uitgeverij B.V. (Veronica Publishers) and the Roto Smeets Group NV (former RSDB NV) recently extended their contract for the publication of Veronica Magazine for a period of three years until 2012.

The substance of the contract expresses the satisfaction of both parties with the present co-operation, as well as their intention to extend it in new and innovative ways.

Peter Contant, managing direction and editor in chief of Veronica Uitgeverij in Hilversum stated: "We are very happy about the extension of our printing contract with the Roto Smeets Group. Good quality printing is an absolute precondition for Holland’s Number One magazine. With Roto Smeets as our partner I can be absolutely confident that we shall be able to keep Veronica Magazine in pole position."

The printing contract involves the rotogravure printing of the inside matter, printing the cover with web offset, finishing (stitching, inserts, outserts, glue-on cards) and preparing the distribution channel for both subscribers and loose copy sales. Veronica Magazine will be produced at the Roto Smeets rotogravure plant in Deventer.

Veronica Magazine, with an average weekly circulation of more than one million copies, is Holland’s largest commercial weekly magazine. The turnover involved during the period covered by this contract is around EUR 45 million.
